Three steps from job to report

Step 1

Capture the job

Add client details, job notes, and issues while you’re on site. Use presets for common faults and quote items so you aren’t typing the same thing every day.

Step 2

Add evidence

Attach photos with captions and optional voice notes to each job. Sign on-screen for tech and client acknowledgement.

Step 3

Generate the report

Press “Generate Report” to create a clean PDF with your logo, sections in your preferred order, and your standard intro and disclaimer. Email or file it with the rest of your paperwork.

What SnapReport does well

Local-first storage

All jobs, clients, photos, and voice notes are stored on your device using IndexedDB (or local storage in the desktop version). There is no cloud database. You choose if and where you back it up.

Photos with captions

Attach multiple photos to each job and label them clearly. The PDF shows each image with its caption in a dedicated Photos section.

Voice notes

Record short voice notes per job when you don’t have time to type. Play them back in the app. They are included in your backup, not in the PDF.

Customisable report template

Choose which sections appear in your report (summary, issues, photos, quote, notes, signatures) and in what order. Set your own title, intro text, and disclaimer.

Issue and quote presets

Save common issues and quote line items as presets. Insert them in one click on the job form.

Jobs, clients, schedule, and search

View all jobs, filter by client, date, or keyword, and revisit old reports. Duplicate a previous job to speed up repeat visits.

Backup and restore

Export all your SnapReport data to a single backup file. Store it in your own cloud (OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive, NAS) or email it to yourself. Import the file later to restore everything.

Your jobs stay on your device

SnapReport is designed for people who don’t want their job data sitting on someone else’s server.

One-time business licence

Unlock unlimited reports for a one-time payment. One licence covers a single business and up to 3 devices you own (for example, a tablet in the ute, your phone, and your home office PC).

All v1.x updates are included. Major future versions may be paid upgrades.

Pricing may be adjusted in future. Existing licence holders keep their v1 access.

Questions

Is my data stored in the cloud?

No. SnapReport stores all job data locally on your device using IndexedDB (or local storage in the desktop version). The app does not upload your job data to a remote database. You can choose to export a backup file and store it in your own cloud or on local storage if you want off-device copies.

Can I use it on more than one device?

Yes. A single business licence covers up to 3 devices you own (for example: site tablet, phone, and home/office PC). You install SnapReport on each device and enter your licence key. Data is stored separately on each device unless you manually move backups between them.

What happens if I change devices or reinstall?

Before changing devices, export a backup file from the Backup page and store it somewhere safe. On the new device, install or open SnapReport, import your backup, and enter your licence key. Your jobs, clients, templates, presets, and licence state will be restored.

What if I lose my backup?

If you don’t export backups and your device is lost or wiped, your SnapReport data is gone. SnapReport does not keep a server copy. If your reports are important, schedule regular exports and store them in your own cloud or storage.

Does SnapReport send emails or invoices?

No. SnapReport focuses on job reports only. You can attach the generated PDFs to your own emails or upload them into your existing job management, accounting, or document systems.

Is this a full job management system?

No. SnapReport is deliberately small. It does one thing well: structured reports with evidence from site. It is designed to sit alongside, not replace, your existing quoting/invoicing/job management tools.

Is this software supported?

SnapReport is an independent project. Updates and fixes will be released when possible, but this is not a 24/7 managed SaaS platform. Always keep your own backups of important data and PDFs.
